Within only a couple of years, the two executives transformed an engineering company into a leading enterprise in the fields of „GreenTech“ and “PolySilicon”: the G+R Technology Group AG

What commonly belongs to the garbage is transformed into energy at G+R. Slaughter wastes and food leftovers are transformed into fats for the chemical industry or fertilizer, renewable raw materials are transformed into biogas, bioethanol and biodiesel, biomass is transformed into electricity, sand is transformed into silicon – the solar industry raw material - and industrial sewage sludge is transformed into combustibles.
In addition to plant construction and the development and manufacture of heating- and cooling systems, the company dedicates itself to environmental technologies in order to produce clean energy for the future of humans and nature: at the headquarters in Regenstauf, Bavaria, technologies, industrial manufacturing processes and the entire systems engineering are developed and produced. With great success: G+R is a technology leader on one of the most promising markets in Germany and is permanently developing new technologies. Those technologies do not only actively contribute to environmental protection but also to enhance quality of life. A new gentle seawater desalination process, “GreenCoal” production processes or environmental energy extraction from the no. 1 climate killer – CO2 – to just name a few. Research and development are the company`s top priorities.
Robert Stöcklinger and Uwe Heinze – the two businessmen grant a new perspective to the long-established business. „Green Tech“ – the new goal. In order to attain this goal, the two new executives focus on „future technologies“: they decided to completely reorganize the company by founding the G+R GmbH, the later G+R Technology Group, they are personally and legally responsible for. Within three years, the number of employees more than tripled. Project development engineers, technicians and highly-qualified skilled workers are the main professional categories represented at G+R. And the trend continues upwards. Green technologies are our future. There is currently no other branch for which experts predict such promising perspectives. „We want to especially benefit from this fact and become a pacesetter in the field of “GreenTech“; this is what Stöcklinger revealed. The current situation is promising: the products having been developed since 2007, recent winner of the Best Product Award, rewarding the G+R product range as the best of all participants at the trade fair „Energy from Biomass and Waste“ in London; G+R is definitely facing further growth. „We can offer a combination of established and innovative technologies, a commercially attractive alternative for our customers and a considerable contribution to environmental protection”; this is, what Stöcklinger explained.
How to become „entrepreneur of the year“?
The award “entrepreneur of the year” is one of the most renowned international prizes for medium-sized companies. The prerequisites need to be fulfilled. For this reason, Ernst & Young, one of the world-leading auditing companies thoroughly checks all participating businesses. The subsequent auditing and reporting are the basis for the independent jury, a group of economic experts operating nationally and internationally. Three hundred applications were submitted for the 14th awards ceremony of whom 68 finalists were selected. Three candidates were preselected for each category. Robert Stöcklinger and Uwe Heinze of the G+R Technology Group were amongst them and granted the award in the category „start up“ for outstanding performance.
